Spring Season: April 3 - June 6

Days: Monday and Wednesday

Location: Redbud Run Elementary School

Time: 6:00-7:00pm

The FCPRD Youth Running Club welcomes youth runners ages 7-14, regardless of ability. Practices are informal and participants are encouraged to attend as many as possible. Runners must have a good pair of athletic shoes, water/sports drink and power snack. The Youth Running Club provides young runners and their families an enriching environment that can be a building block to their future running success. Team shirts will be provided. 


The cost per season $60

Coaching is provided by volunteers or paid staff who are extremely passionate about running and have a background as a recreational or competitive runner. Running enthusiasts/parents are encouraged to run with their child. Parents that would like to volunteer as a coach would need to successfully pass a criminal background.

The Youth Running Club will train to participate in the following events. Dates and times vary from year to year based on individual Race Directors scheduling. FCPRD has no control over canceled or postponed events. Entry into these events are included in the participant registration fees. Additional info may be required per entry into these events.

  • Apple Blossom Bloomin’ Mile (First weekend in May)

  • Loudoun Street Mile (Memorial Day)

  • Rose Hill Mile (Early June)

  • Sherando Youth Sprint Tri (Late June) $10 discount

Fall Season Events
  • Apple Harvest Fest (Early October)

  • 3rd Battle of Winchester (Late October)

  • Thanksgiving 5k (Thanksgiving Morning)
